About Rabindra Bharati University :-

The Rabindra Bharati University is a State University founded on 08.05.1961 by the Rabindra Bharati University Act, 1961 by the West Bengal State Legislative Assembly. The Act was amended in 1981 converting its nature from Unitary to Affiliating University. Rabindra Bharati University is included in the list of universities under section 2(f) & 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956.
