Visva Bharati Faculty Recruitment 2021 – Educational Qualification

Name of the Post	Educational Qualifications
Essential Qualification for Sl. No. 1 to 5	An eminent scholar having a PhD degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC – listed journals and a total research score of 120 as per the criteria. A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in university/ college as Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor, and/ or research experience at the equivalent level at the University/ National level institutions with evidence of having successfully guided doctoral candidate. OR An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/ allied/ applied disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in A above)/ industry, who has made a significant contribution to the knowledge in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, supported by documentary evidence provided by candidates should have 10 years experience. Desirable Qualifications: Specialization in Physical Geography/ any branch of Physics/ M.Sc in Zoology/ Experience in relevant branch.
Essential Qualification for Sl. No. 6 & 7	An eminent scholar having a doctoral degree. Have been actively engaged in research with at least ten years of experience in teaching in University/ College and/ or research at the University/ National level institutions. Minimum of 6 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-Listed journals. OR A traditional or a professional artist, with highly-commendable professional achievement, in the subject concerned. Having a Masters degree, in the relevant subject. Desirable: Ability to guide research students.
Essential Qualification for Sl. No. 8 to 9	A good academic record, with a PhD degree in the concerned disciplines. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale, wherever the grading system is followed). A minimum of 8 years of experience of teaching and/ or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University.
Essential Qualification for Sl. No. 10	Good academic record, with a doctoral degree. The performing ability of high professional standard. 8 years of experience teaching in a University or College.
Essential Qualification for post Sl. No. 11 to 19	A Master’s degree with 55% marks in a concerned subject from an Indian University. Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test. The Ph. D degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode. The Candidate must have published 2 research papers from PhD work. Desirable: For Sl No. 11 Specialization in Prehistory. For Sl. No. 15 Specialization in Demography or Population Studies For Sl. No. 16 Specialization in Italian Language and Literature Studies. For Sl. No. 17 M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Plant Physiology and/ or Plant Biochemistry For Sl. No. 19 Specialization in the field of Farm Management / Production Economics/ Agricultural Marketing/ Agricultural Finance.
Essential Qualification for Sl. No. 20 to 25	A Master’s degree with 55% marks in a concerned subject from an Indian University. Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test. The Ph. D degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode. The Candidate must have published 2 research papers from PhD work. OR A traditional or a professional artist with highly commendable professional achievement in the subject concerned having a Bachelor’s degree as follows. Studied under a noted/ reputed traditional Master/ Artists. Has been ‘A‘ grade artist of AIR/ Doordarshan. Has the ability to explain with logical reasoning the subject concerned. and Has adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations. Desirable: For Sl. No. 20 Furniture/ Interior Designer from prominent Design Institution/ University with knowledge suitable CAD+ experience in Design and Development/ Production. For Sl. No. 22 Sound Knowledge about the life and works of Rabindranath Tagore including musical works. Sound knowledge of History and Theory of Rabindra Sangit, allied Classical Music, Aesthetics, and ability to read and write notations. For Sl. No. 23 Knowledge about the theory and practice of Rabindra-Nritya. For Sl. No. 24 Profound knowledge in textile design.

For Professor – Academic Level 14 with entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200/- as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix (Pay Band 4, of Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/- with AGP of Rs. 10,000/-) (Pre-revised)
For Associate Professor – Academic Level 13A with Entry Pay of Rs. 1,31,400/- as per 7th CPC Pay
Matrix (Pay Band 4, of Rs. 37,400/- to Rs. 67,000/- with AGP of Rs. 9,000/-)(Pre-revised).
